Consulting in Disability, Mental Health, and Neurodiversity

About Me

Empathy. Experience.

My Philosophy

People deserve space to explore hard questions and to be met with practical support when they need answers. I dive deep with directness and compassion.

I want sustainable options for all people and the folks who care about them.

Not all body-minds are the same--that simple reason is why my methods are individualized, person-centered, and culturally responsive. I believe understanding motivations and finding effective approaches to expression create lasting bonds and life-long practices.

I incorporate many therapeutic modalities including somatic embodiment, humanistic, relational, attachment-based, psychodynamic, solution focused, and acceptance and commitment (ACT) therapies, among others.

Lindsey Anderson

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with the Center for Mindful Psychotherapy and passionate about uplifting neurodiversity, disability empowerment, queerness, and mental health. I aim to address clients’ personal needs while reclaiming space in the therapeutic realm from the inequity created and harm caused by the fields of psychotherapy and psychiatry. I believe that all people not only deserve the right to self-determine their futures, but also deserve accessible tools to pave their path ahead.

Historical perspectives and divergent grassroots narratives are the context for my practice, honoring the complex, intersectional histories of disabled and neurodivergent life. After having an unexpectedly positive experience in therapy myself, I have a strong desire to utilize my clinical privilege to address the human experience from a non-pathologizing lens. I identify as a white, neurodivergent, autistic, ADHD experiencing femme queer from the south who values and prioritizes communal interdependence, abolition, and liberation.

I am under the licensed supervision of:

Hez Wollin, LCSW CA #70723
